So I work 45-50 hours (plus 15 more of school) a week programing and running CNC Mills. If you don’t know what that is take a look here. CNC machines are involved in the production a lot of stuff you use every day, from remote controls, portions of your vehicle, cell phones, guitars, even the shoes you wear. I like being able to program and machine something start to finish, it is a great feeling. The latter two parts I programed and machined start to finish, the other one I did some roughing operations on. The tolerances on most parts we do are about the thickness of a human hair (.002”). I think I’ll start posting more about my work, pictures and such. A lot of the parts we make are cool, and we usually don’t know what they do, we just make damn sure they are perfect.
