Arrah and the Ferns last concert. I finally got all the videos from that sad sad day up on vimeo, check them out. The quality isn’t great and I only got parts of some of the songs, but its nice to reminisce none the less. The band had its share of technical issues that day, much like any other time I saw them. The Ferns are quite a sad story, and I will admit I almost cried at the end of the show that day. They never caught any breaks it seemed, they loved to have fun and played some amazing music. Every time I saw them in concert (except for their last show of 2007, which was life changing, especially with E,N! and Everthus) they had something major malfunction causing them to cut the set short or skip a song. Everyone had high hopes when Arrah announced a second album some time in mid 2008, however fate would have it that the album would never be completed. Due to conflicts in schedules, lack of funds, vehicles breaking down, and just about some of the saddest things to happen to one of the nicest group of people ever and the band had to break up in a way. However Arrah formed a group called the woodlands and performed several times in the 2008, and eventually the band and a few friends moved from Muncie to Philadelphia. A new beginning comes from the ashes of old, however Arrah still doesn’t seem to have much luck. She apparently has nodules, which doctors say she isn’t supposed to sing. I hope we can soon hear that beautiful music once again. (I’m not a stalker or anything I just read what they write in the blogs)
